Another Oddity in my Garden

October 1st, 2006 at 03:33 pm

I don't know what it is this year, but I seem to be racking up the odd & unsual.

My garden is in zone 7 and I typically have rhubarb to use or freeze early in the spring....and still a bit by early summer. Then, it is over and I'm cleaning the patch up & waiting for next years new crop.

But, my rhubarb patch is confused here. Last spring, I transplanted little tiny scrappy plants from my parents neglected bed ............

...........and I'm still picking rhubarb on at least a weekly basis! It's October for heavens sake.

At this rate, I'll be serving a bowl of rhubarb sauce at Thanksgiving dinner!

I've had this happen to me as well before. I came up with someone's awfully cute little baby, but it wasn't a picture that was in my directory or anything. Strange. I thought it was just a glitch on my part or something. Maybe it happens when two people are trying to post pics right about the same time?? I dunno, I was uploading a pic at about the same time, but it wasn't of diapers! Hheeheee.

I got your spindly l'il rhubarb plant! I love rhubarb. And remember, if you have any more problems with the tenants...(low, conspiritorial whisper) there's always stewed rhubarb leaves.
